Endometrial biopsy is usually carried out as a day case diagnostic procedure. The sample or biopsy is taken using special instrument inserted via the vagina and cervix to reach the uterine. the instrument allows suction by special syringe type handle.
The main indication of Endometrial biopsy is to work-out the cause of abnormal uterine bleeding, cancer screening, and infertility evaluation study.
There are some contraindications to the procedure particularly cervical cancer or infection and simply pregnancy.
Endometrial biopsy is a safe and hardly with any significant complication.
