What is the procedure of making a Dental Bridge here at the dental department in Dr. Rami Hamed center ?
To begin, prosthodontist will requires information about how and when did you lose your teeth, and what you are expecting from the replacement of the tooth. In other words, your concerns are appearance, mastication, and function.
The second step is taking a primary impression to make a study cast or study model for both upper and lower teeth. In this cast, index will be made for the abutment teeth and a wax build up will be done to the missing tooth or teeth. This index will allow our prosthodontist to provide you with a temporary bridge.
Third step is tooth preparation in which the abutment teeth will be prepared and a final impression along with a bite registration will be taken and will be sent to the lab whom in there turn will fabricate the bridge and make sure that it has the right bite and occlusion.
When the permanent bridge arrives, the margins of the crowns on abutments will be checked to assure the proper fitting. Then our prosthodontist will check the occlusion before cementing the bridge. After making sure that everything is right and perfect , our prosthodontist will cement the bridge and check the occlusion again to make sure that your new dental bridge won’t have any effect on your occlusion.
